Mardi Gras Spacebuns

So, I’m back in St. Louis. MY TOWN! MY CITY! And we take Mardi Gras celebrations pretty serious around here. So I thought to myself, what is a great way to keep your hair out of your face during festivities while still looking cute AF? Spacebuns! They have quickly become my new favorite hairdo. They take less than 5 minutes to throw up and like it said, cute AF.

The best part about spacebuns is the messier the better. There is no right or wrong way to do them.  I like braiding my pigtails back, but if braiding is hard for you just throw ’em in two simple piggytails!  Continue reading

XOXO Glossip Girl

Glossip Girl, here. Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Hollywood’s cosmetics elite.

I crack myself up! I couldn’t resist.. But for real. There’s been some DRAMA in the cosmetic industry lately. But I don’t want to talk about that just yet… let’s talk about some lip glosses! More specifically: Kylie Cosmetics lip kits and glosses.

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink
Pretty in Pink by megcgad

Lately, I’ve been really into pinks. I can’t believe that sentence even left my mouth… But, since I’ve been makeup free on a daily basis, sometimes putting a full dramatic face on feels like too much. Even for me! Jeez. Who am I?!

OH MY GAD: VICTROLA!

28A few weeks ago I had the awesome opportunity to work with Lauren Cram, St. Louis’s local creator and designer of VICTROLA, on the photoshoot for her latest collection. Although her designs can stand alone, once we got deeper into the shoot and I got to know Lauren I loved the designs even more! Lauren is a fun, energetic and outgoing gal but at the same time she created a comfortable, laid-back, and creative environment for us to work in. If this shoot couldn’t get any more personal, Lauren hosted it at her home!

So, who is she? And what is VICTROLA? Lauren is a nationally recognized fashion designer who lives vicariously through the alter-ego-of-a-clothing line that she’s concocted: VICTROLA. Bold, sassy and daring – Her designs take on the character she wishes she could be. And who doesn’t want to be that woman? With her keen eye for lush fabrics, strong silhouettes and great sense of style, VICTROLA is the perfect combination of pure girlishness with an edge. Which is DEFINITELY right up my alley! Long Hair, Don’t Care

Recently, I bought a new hair toy from BellamiHair.com: a wrap ponytail! I’ve really been struggling with the limited hairstyles I can rock with short hair. When I saw that they were only $39, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

I’m very pleased with my purchase of the 20″ Synthetic Mochachino to Blonde Ombre ponytail. And I figured I would share a few photos and a “How To” tutorial on how to apply it! Enjoy!

Nude is the New Black

Nude is the New Black

All the major fashion weeks have come and gone! From New York Fashion Week starting in February to Los Angeles wrapping up tomorrow. And what I’ve gathered, on the runway and street style, is that a nude lip is the new bold lip! Not only that, but a fresh, clean, nude face is the way to go. I can handle that! The simpler, the better. Continue reading

OH MY GAD: Meero Mani Nails!

(photo compliments of Megan’s Instagram)
So, I’ve been keeping these babies a secret for awhile. For no particular reason, besides wanting to write the best possible review because they absolutely deserve it! And I think these nails need to stay FAR from being a secret to the beauty world!
A few months ago, I was going through all of my social media outlets, as I do daily, and I noticed Meero Mani Nails had followed me on Twitter. Since starting the whole YouTube and Blogging thing I have numerous small name brands follow me daily; and I hate to say that normally I just ignore them and move on. But, MMN followed me on Instagram AND Pinterest, as well. You don’t just follow someone on all their social media, including Pinterest, unless you’re trying to get someone’s attention. And she sure did, so I started doing some research…
